Most people did not give the Jets much of a chance today at Buffalo. I was not one of those people. I felt the Jets had a great chance to win, and they did just that beating the Bills 26-17. Jay Feely made 4 field goals, Thomas Jones had a score, and Abram Elam scored on a pick 6 in the first half. Favre did not throw a touchdown, unless you count the one he threw to the Bills, but it did not matter as the Jets moved to (5-3). The main reason was the great play of the Jets defense, even without David Harris.
Darrelle Revis was amazing. He forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, had a sack, and caught the game-winning interception with under two minutes to play. Kris Jenkins caused havoc all day with 2 sacks and shutting down the Bills running game. This was clearly the best game the Jets’ played all year as an overall team. Sure they scored 56 points against the Cardinals, but they allowed 35. Today the Jets’ defense was outstanding and the offense did just what it needed to do to keep the game in hand. Next week the Jets host the (2-6) St. Louis Rams. It will be a key game to move to (6-3) before traveling to New England on Thursday night in two weeks.
