    I have no doubt that Palin’s book will sell very well. I also think it will help to at least solidify the base she already has, and probably add to it a bit. But without having read the book itself, only having read about it–it sounds like a missed opportunity to actually Broaden her base. John Tantillo defended Palin’s decision to resign as governor, is pretty transparently right-wing, even if he’s more of a marketing than a politics guy (he blogs on Fox Forum, too…) –and yet even he did a piece saying this book is a misstep, sacrificing what made her popular in the first place: “forward motion.
    More thought seems to have gone into the strategy behind the tour than the book itself CSM has a
    good article on it. Yes, she is avoiding nyc, L.A., but she is also avoiding the Evangelical Epicenters, where her base doesn’t really need to be strengthened. Her tour stops are the “Boom Towns”–places where McCain beat Obama…but only by 5%.

    Sarah Palin is a good leader. i can say that because she did some projects in alaska that helped lots of people .
