Once the Jets finish playing their game next week, the team will end up looking back at this season and hopefully will figure out what went wrong. The first thing is that Bret Favre was a mistake and should not be signed for next season. The second is that Eric Mangini is a bust and should be let go as the team’s head coach.

Finally, looking to the future, the Jets should so all they can to go after Matt Cassell and make him the team’s staring quarterback. In addition, sources are telling me that Marty Schottenheimer can be talked out of retirement so the Jets would be wise to set their sites on the ex coach of the Chargers to be their new head coach.
