Dennis Thurman Attended University of Texas Pro Day

Jets Defensive Backs Coach Dennis Thurman was in Texas recently to kill three birds with one stone at the University of Texas Pro Day.  While Texas might not have the same hype this year as they do during other, their trio of defensive backs made it a perfect stop for Thurman.  Texas has three corners, Aaron Williams (first round projection) as well as Curtis Brown (second round projection) and Chykie Brown (fourth of fifth round projection) who the Jets might be interested in depending on how the draft falls for them.

With Darrelle Revis secure, Antonio Cromartie seeking to return as a free agent, last year’s first rounder Kyle Wilson, and some solid role players like Drew Coleman, Dwight Lowery and Marquice Cole, it’s hard to know just how much the Jets might value grabbing another corner on the whole, but Rex has made it clear he loves cornerbacks and will take as many as the team will give him — playing in the same conference with Brady, Manning and Roethlisberger, Rex’s logic is understandable.

While I’d  be totally surprised if the Jets drafted a guy like Williams at #30, I’d not be surprised to see the Jets try and snag Curtis or Chykie Brown should they drop.
